'97 Kyoto Conference of the World's Leading Museums |
The museum is an important institution which guards this cultural heritage; it is also a place where people from all the world's different cultural spheres can gather and communicate, in other words, one which links all people irrespective of age or fortune. It can also be said to be a place where we encounter the past and our history. With such significant attributes, it seems almost certain that the museum should in the near future come to occupy the role of a spiritual leader of international society.
